Privacy Policy
PDFX was built on one rule: your files never leave your device.
Every tool (merge, split, edit, convert, sign and more) runs exclusively in your browser with JavaScript. We do not upload PDFs, images or documents to our servers for processing.
What this means
- We do not store your file contents.
- We cannot access the text, images or metadata of the PDF you open in a tool.
- When you close the tab, local processing ends - nothing stays in a PDFX “cloud”.
Site data
We may collect anonymous site usage metrics (pages visited, approximate country, device type) via analytics to improve the product. This does not include your file contents.
Cookies and preferences
We only use what is needed for basic preferences (e.g. language), when applicable. We do not use ad-tracking cookies tied to your PDF contents.
Third parties
Open-source libraries (e.g. pdf.js, pdf-lib) may load in the browser to run the tools. They process locally; they are not a substitute for uploading to PDFX.
